Welcome to Pound Puppy Animal Rescue, Poole, Dorset, UK.

Pound Puppy Animal Rescue is a non profit organisation that rescues hundreds of young/adult/ancient dogs and cats every year that would otherwise be killed because they do not have a home. Having rescued the pets Pound Puppy Animal Rescue then provides medical treatment and tender loving care until they are healthy enough to find a new home.

Pound Puppy Animal Rescue find homes for unwanted, abandoned and stray puppies, dogs, cats and kittens from council pounds, breeders and homes that can no longer look after them. The animals stay in foster homes looked after by our volunteers in the area around Poole, Dorset until they find a suitable home.

We need foster families to provide temporary homes for our cats and kittens, dogs and puppies, preferably around Bournemouth and Poole. We supply everything the animal will need: food, bedding, crate. All you need to supply is love, a nice home and time. If you think you can help please e-mail your location and phone number to foster@poundpuppy.org

We will rehome dogs and cats to Dorset and the surrounding counties: Isle of Wight, Wiltshire, Hampshire and the Channel Islands, and further afield, home checks and circumstances permitting.

Shadow
Shadow Needs Your Help
This lovely oldie was in her home since she was 8 weeks old. She came in to the rescue in not the best condition. Shadow is 11 years young, was overweight, has hip dysplasia and arthritis in both knees. She has lumps that do not seem to be cancerous. She is the most wonderful dog you will ever meet. She adores children, loves cats and dogs, walks off lead, is house trained, loves tummy tickles. She has blossomed since going to foster with Tracey. She enjoys walks, playing in water and loves the car. We know this girl is no spring chicken but our vet believes that now the weight is dropping off her, she has a good couple of years in her. We would really love to find our Shadow a loving home. Shadow would need a home with carpets. We will cover her pain relief and the meds she is on for the rest of her life. With regular check ups at our vets, Tracey has done well getting this girl back into shape, can we find this girl the sofa she so deserves. You can donate to Shadow's medication by phoning Pet Practice on 01202 649 999 or via PayPal by clicking on the Donate button above. Please add the reference 'for Shadow'.
